Description
Here's a better drawing of my two characters Mona and Clyde. They're drawn in a "Graphic Novel" kind of style because it's still a cartoon, but it's on the road to looking somewhat realistic as well...
I used pictures of two actors on Google Images for reference. I used Stefanie Scott for Mona, and Hugh Dancy for Clyde. Using actors (that look similar to your characters) for reference is a beautiful thing.
My Art|Fun Fact: These two drawings were done with pencil and paper, and then I used my pencilled sketch as my digital lineart with the magic of PaintToolSAI (and I used Adobe Photoshop Elements 11 for the gradient.) The things you learn from YouTube Tutorials
ART TIP: It's okay to use references! Use them! And use them wisely my young grasshoppers! It's good to look at real people's faces to create a face for your characters so it looks authentic! But don't make it exactly the same, otherwise your character will just look like a creepy twin of someone who already exists. If you notice, my characters don't look exactly like the actors I used for reference, but they do look similar.
These two characters belong to me. I highly doubt someone would take 'em...but I'm not afraid to cut a bitch if someone does steal them... Sorry, got a little dark there for a second... My characters mean a lot to me, and I just like to share 'em with the world!
The story takes place in the year 1974 if you were wondering why that was in the title.
